Many of you have already recieved a really cool evite for the March on Morris and the Meet the Candidates events this thurday. You may evite any friends you might know from the evite request if they already haven't recieved their own. Please feel free to evite anyone and everyone you can think of.
Also early this coming week, you might also be recieving a flyer and also phone calls from you neighbors informing you of this event.
I know its a bit of overkill and I apologize if you receive many of these request, but it is so important that we have a HUGE crowd for this event. Like the firehouse times two please would be really cool.
Help us get the word out.

ReplyDeleteDoes everyone know where the candidates stand. I have heard stated in public that both Mike Wallace & Angie Cox WILL vote to widen Morriss, and that both Bob Butler and Tom Hayden will NOT vote to widen Morriss under any circumstances!
ReplyDeleteI have not heard any candidate use "under any circumstances". I do believe that Tom, Bob, and Rick have all said they don't support the widening of Morriss "today" and they may have used the term "under any circumstances" in the context of immediately beginning the project. As someone who is opposed to the widening of Morriss "today", even I can imagine circumstances where I would want the roadway "improved" in the future. But not blindly widened "today" based on A LOT OF assumptions.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I have been unable to attend any of the other candidate forums, so I have not yet had a chance to hear first-hand what some of the candidates are saying... that is why I am stoked for Thursday's Wilkerson Field forum. Cross your fingers for good weather so that all of our neighbors will come out and hear these things first-hand! Forward the eVite to as many people as you can. If you need an eVite, just email Kim (the host of this blog) and I am sure he will be happy to send you a link!
Those candidates did not say that- and to use this forum to put words in their mouth to get votes for your candidates is wrong. Let's let the candidates speak for themselves and quit putting words in their mouth!

We have welcomed all candidates to offer their views here on this forum and so far only 3 have responded. Steve Dixon, Bob Butler and Tom Hayden have expressed their views here for everyone to see.
